About Hedingham Castle
Hedingham Castle is the most romantic wedding venue in England, comprising a 900-year-old Norman Keep, the best preserved of its kind in the country, next to a grand Georgian Country House.
Wedding Ceremonies are held in the Banqueting Hall of the Keep, the finest Norman interior in England. A hundred candles illuminate the breathtaking majesty of a room where their ancestors once entertained Elizabeth I.
From the joyful solemnity of your Castle Ceremony in the Norman Keep, the Wedding Party passes over the Tudor Bridge, built for Henry VII, en route to the classical elegance of the Georgian Country House for your Reception. Drinks are served in the silk lined splendour of the Ashhurst room from where the Hall leads through to the terrace and lawns beyond.
There are wonderful opportunities for unique photographs in the grounds, by the lake, and in the Castle and Georgian House.
The immaculately furnished Ballroom Marquee stands in the tranquility of the Tulip Lawn, for up to 150 guests, or for more intimate celebrations of up to 70, your whole day can take place in the Norman Keep itself.
Their caterers are of the highest quality. Every dish you select for your guests from their range of fine menus will be prepared on site and served with courtesy and style.
Provided for the Bride and her party on the day of the Wedding, in its own orchard in a secluded corner of the Hedingham Estate, is The Garden Cottage. In the evening it offers a peaceful and romantic sanctuary for the newly married couple.
The prices they quote for your wedding at Hedingham Castle are as comprehensive as they can make them and include VAT. They will explain as clearly as possible if any extra charges apply, and why.
Within the Ceremony with Marquee Reception fee are included: the Garden Cottage for bridal preparations and an overnight stay on the night of the wedding; a Chauffeur driven Mercedes up to the ceremony; use of the Norman Keep for the ceremony; the use of the Georgian House Hall, Ashhurst Room and lakeside terrace for the drinks reception and the Ballroom Marquee for the wedding breakfast and evening party. Also included are the use of all linen, tables, chairs, crockery, cutlery and glassware, hospitality staff and the services of your own personal Wedding Coordinator. All-inclusive Bespoke packages can be created to include food and drink and evening entertainment.
