How and when did you meet?

We met at the full moon party, Koh Pha Ngan, Thailand on NYE 2001.

Where, when and how did he (or you!) propose?

We were on holiday in Langkawi, Malaysia and Simon got down on one knee in the sea and proposed!

Did you have hen and stag celebrations? If so, what did you do?

I hired a stretch limo and went up to Vinopolis, London for an evening of wine tasting and Simon hit the clubs of Watford!

How did your groom help with the wedding planning?
I planned it all myself (with a little help from my mum!)

Did you use confetti to plan your wedding? If so, how did the website help you?

We are using the Confetti shop to decorate our party venue.

Tell us about your outfit, and where you bought it

I wore a Shelagh M dress in pure silk with hand painted flowers running from the front of the dress down the train.

Did you have bridesmaids? If so, who did you choose and what did they wear?

I had two mini bridesmaids (my daughter,2, and her cousin, 5) who were in matching dresses and two adult bridemaids who wore matching dresses from Oasis.

His best mate, Chris.

We didn’t have a traditional wedding, therefore did not keep to the traditions.

Purple and pink orchids and cream roses.

What did you choose to have on your menu? Did you have an outside caterer or did your venue handle the catering?

A seafood BBQ (prepared while we watched) and a selection of Thai food.

What did you choose for your wedding cake, and who made it?

A 5 star hotel nearby. It was a vanilla sponge with icing decorated with pink and cream flowers.

Thai music (Khim) while we ate and then a friend hooked up her ipod and we danced and drank the night away!

Did you have a gift list? If so, who did you have your list with?

Where did you spend your first night and honeymoon? Who did you book your honeymoon with?

At the Imperial Boathouse hotel, Choeng Mon Beach, Koh Samui. After the wedding we flew on to Dubai and then Komandoo, Maldives for a week for our honeymoon (without our daughter!) We booked our Thailand travel and honeymoon with Travelbag.

What was your most memorable moment of the day?

Simon coming to collect me before the ceremony.

Did you experience any ‘nightmare’ moments in the run up to your wedding or on the day?

Nope – it all went very smoothly.

Is there anything you would do differently, or any advice you would give to other brides?

I would not change a thing. I was very nervous about organising a wedding over email but the day was perfect!
